How to integrate Fedelta POS and Xero accounting

In this case, we were approached by a chain of restaurants and cafes in Melbourne. They’re using a desktop point-of-sale, which works really well for them. It’s called Fedelta. They’re using it across a few sites. Then they decided they wanted to go in cloud accounting. They wanted to use Xero and a few other systems around it, but the two don’t integrate. They don’t talk to each other out of the box.

What we did there is we built a process on the side that every night gets all the information from Fedelta and post it into Xero. It posts into Xero daily sales by type, it posts the daily funds collected by type of payment, liabilities, all those little things. What it did for them is allow them to keep using the technology that worked really well for them, and introduce additional technology alongside it, even though the two weren’t linked out of the box.
